1)  How is the perimetral sealing in the insulating glass walls?

The sealing material can leak out of the perimetral joint for about 2 mm (max) inside the cavity and on the glass. The joint must be 18 mm max if the glass wall is smaller than 6 square metres, but this can vary on personalized projects.

2)  The formation of condensation on the outer surface of the glass wall.

The formation of condensation on insulating glass walls can happen both outside and inside the building. When it is inside the building it means that there is a high percentage of humidity in the space, and a cold temperature outside. When it appears outside the building it has to do with the releasing of the night heath from the outside surface of the glass, combined with the action of high humidity and no rain. Both are natural phenomenon due to the atmospheric conditions and not to the quality of the glass.

3)  What does “Wettability” mean?

When the glass surface gets wet by the action of rain, condensation, or water in general, there are some traces that can be seen. These traces can include roll traces, fingerprints, label residuals, sealing residuals etc. and are usually temporarily. When these traces persist, it can be considered a flaw of the product.

4)  In lights of the new regulations on energy savings, what are the advantages of inserting the blinds inside the glass walls?

The energy saving potential of this product is definitely one of its main strengths. The integrated blinds, placed inside the glass walls, block and filter the heath before it reaches the indoor space, hence strongly reducing the costs of the air conditioning.

5)  Where does the colour come from?

All the materials used to make our glasses have their own intrinsic colour which comes from the raw materials there are made of. This colour becomes even more evident with the increasing of the thickness of the glass.
Coated glasses have their intrinsic colour as well which can vary if seen in transparency or in reflection.

To make an evaluation of the differences in colours, related to transparent and non- transparent coatings, you will need to examine the product in different, previously agreed conditions.

6)  How do you see the glass maker market in the future?

As much as we are unsure about what the future holds for us, there is one thing we are very sure about: we will continue growing and improving our brand. We believe that in the next future we will see more synergy and collaborations among glassmakers with different specializations. Unfortunately, there are high chances that the smaller realities will have less space for bigger collaborations and will therefore be relegated to smaller markets and jobs.

7)  Which new technologies can be expected in the residential market?

We believe that the residential market has already see incredible innovations. Let’s just think of the quality and standards that the big multinational corporations use to produce their glasses. These glasses can guarantee a high performance both in summer and winter time and the consequential lowering the emission of glasshouse gases.
